PUBLIC TO MEET STATE OFFICIALS.(Local)

Local residents will have an opportunity to meet face to face with a handful of state officials Monday in the community dialogue program.

The program, established three years ago, will be held at 7 p.m. in Room 209 in City Hall, 105 Jay St. The effect of state policies on area communities will be the topic.

Scheduled to attend are: Secretary of State Gail Shaffer; Franklin White, state Transportation commissioner; Langdon J. Marsh, executive deputy commissioner of the state Department of Environmental Conservation; Dennis Allee, senior deputy commissioner of the state Department of Economic Development; and Paul Puccio, deputy director of the state Division of Substance Abuse Services.

The program was established by Gov. Mario M. Cuomo to make the state government more responsive to the needs of the public.
