Vic: Rookie cop saves teenager from Yarra River

A rookie policeman has helped save the life of a teenager found floating semi-consciousin Melbourne's Yarra River after being injured in a brawl.

Constable DYLAN OWEN, aged 28, waded into the river and stayed with the 13-year-oldboy for about 45 minutes until the Fire Brigade Rescue Unit could retrieve the teenagerfrom the water.

Constable OWEN -- a policeman for just three months -- says the boy, weighing about100kg, drifted in and out of consciousness …
